How would $1,000 help you this year?

January 2026

This issue of Oklahoma Living includes a chance to enter a $1,000 drawing—our simple way of giving back to the members we serve.

If you’ve picked up this month’s issue of Oklahoma Living, I hope you’re settling into a moment just for you. Maybe you’re by the fire with a cup of coffee, or maybe you’re spending a minute with us in the car before you head inside. However you arrived here, I’m glad you did.

As we ease (or maybe barrel) into 2026, I’ve been thinking about how money feels tighter than it did a few years ago. In times like these, small acts of kindness carry real weight.

We sat around the table as an editorial team and came up with an idea I don’t think the magazine has done before. You’ll see a QR code in this issue that gives you the chance to enter a drawing for $1,000. No strings. You’re not on the hook for anything. It’s just the most simple way for us to give back to the people we serve.

Giving back isn’t new for electric cooperatives. Co-ops were built on the belief that people come first, and that hasn’t changed. It’s the reason rural Oklahoma has power at all, and it’s the reason we work hard to make this magazine worth your time.

And because not everyone is into QR-scanning, we’ve added another way to enter. If you’d rather pick up the phone, call 405-849-5340 and leave a voicemail with your name, your phone number and your co-op. It’s a direct line we’ve set up specifically for this contest. Our team will take it from there and enter your information into the drawing. You won’t get a call back, but trust us, we will have you entered!

So scan the code or give us a ring. Throw your name in the hat. And know that we’re always glad you’re here, starting a new year right alongside us.
