Celebrate the Season

On December 1, the heart of downtown Stillwater will come alive with the magic of the season.

Celebrate the Season

Food trucks buzzing with tasty treats, Christmas carols, and the laughter of children ice skating will greet you in Stillwater, Oklahoma, this Christmas season.

The community of Stillwater has rallied together to create the town’s first Winter Wonderland event with a multitude of festivities ready to be enjoyed by your entire family.

The best news: it’s free to enter the festival and visit the reindeer, take a carriage ride and see Santa’s workshop. “Our goal is to make sure Stillwater is on the map for years to come as an Oklahoma holiday destination that’s worth the visit, year after year,” said Kylie Vincent, Visit Stillwater vice president.

If you seek a little more adventure, purchase a ticket and head over to the outdoor ice rink! “Ice skating is for the young and the young at heart,” Melisa Davenport, Visit Stillwater director of operations, said.

Whether you’re 7 years old and putting on your first pair of ice skates or you’re a seasoned veteran to the rink, a wonderful time is guaranteed. Abby Flood, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, said. “We have al.ways loved Stillwater and the small-town feel brings us back for several events. Our kids are excited about the Winter Wonderland, and as parents we are looking forward to a fun family experience during the Christmas season.”

Stillwater merchants and restaurants are eager to greet visitors from around the state and only anticipate positive feedback from having thousands of individuals in their own backyard, said Kent Kinzie, owner of Leonard Jewelry.
