Co-ops in action
Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives lead through service and mentorship

Energy camp sparks future leaders
More than 70 eighth graders from across Oklahoma took part in the 2025 Energy Camp, held May 27-30. Sponsored by Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives, the four-day camp teaches leadership, teamwork and the cooperative difference.
Campers experienced what it’s like to be a lineworker, learned about electrical safety and stepped into leadership roles — electing a board of directors and hiring a general manager to lead the camp.
From utility pole climbing to building friendships that last long after the last day, Energy Camp sparks confidence, curiosity and community spirit for our future leaders.
Co-ops show up for special olympics
With matching shirts, big smiles and bigger hearts, 155 volunteers from 25 electric cooperatives came together to support the 2025 Special Olympics Oklahoma State Summer Games.
As more than 5,000 athletes, including 1,551 track and field competitors, competed in Stillwater, co-op volunteers played essential roles: cheering, guiding, organizing and lending a hand wherever needed.
Oklahoma’s electric co-ops are proud to support athletes who inspire with courage, joy and determination, and to live out the cooperative principle of concern for community.
