Coloring a classic

Co-op members of all ages honor a mascot milestone with creativity.

Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives marked a milestone this year as Willie Wiredhand, the familiar mascot of cooperative power, celebrated his 75th birthday. To honor the occasion, the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives hosted a statewide coloring contest open to participants of all ages.

Entries arrived from classrooms across co-op service territories. Statewide winners were selected in four age categories, ranging from early elementary to adult.

Winners received a gift card, a Willie Wiredhand prize pack and a certificate of achievement. Congratulations to all the co-op artists!
