Dynamic four-day summer camp nurtures leadership skills

Energy Camp is a dynamic four-day summer camp designed to nurture leadership skills through team building and cooperative activities. Sponsored by Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives, the camp hosts nearly 80 students annually from across Oklahoma.

• Inspirational leadership speakers
• Engaging team-building exercises
• Hands-on learning about electricity
• Exciting activities like riding in a bucket truck, pole climbing and electric safety demonstrations
• Electric Vehicle showcases

Established in 1989, Energy Camp was developed to fill a gap in youth programs offered by Oklahoma’s Electric Cooperatives. The camp focuses on cooperation, teamwork and leadership development, with an emphasis on safety education.

With over 850 alumni, many former campers have advanced to participate in the NRECA’s Rural Electric Youth Tour and excelled academically at Oklahoma’s colleges and universities. To learn more about next year’s Energy Camp, visit www.oaec.coop
