The future shines brightly

Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives award first Youth Tour Ambassador Scholarship

The Cooperative Youth Ambassador Program’s inaugural $5,000 scholarship drawing has been awarded to Jose Sosa of Northwestern Electric Cooperative. The Oklahoma Youth Tour (OKYT) program encouraged participants to engage in activities like attending cooperative sponsored events, promoting OKYT on social media, serving as a high school liaison for future Youth Tours and attending their co-op’s annual meeting. Each activity earned an entry for the student. In total, 14 students participated. Jose plans to attend Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa and pursue a degree in nursing. Congratulations, Jose!
